I love Ikea, it gives you so many ideas. My baby is 21 months now and I have been struggling with all his toys! I went thru all of them and seperated what was of no interest anymore ex, rattles,links, teething rings. I removed a rocker from his room also. Then I headed out to Ikea to get some organizers. Regular toy boxes just aren't big enough. And if you get something to big the kids never play with the toys on the bottom. UGH so off to Ikea. I ended up with two toy box organizers and a cool chair he can hide in! I love it sooooo much and so does he. My husband was working OT when I went haha good thing too because I can do some damage in that store. I was so excited when I got home I decided I would try to put them together myself. I mean how hard can it be? Well I sure found out! Ikea gives you pictures and they are cartoon like and black and white! Alittle confusing at first but I managed to put them all together myself. I snuck them into the room while the baby slept. It took me 2hrs to put them all together. When my hubby got home at midnight, I told him to kiss the baby LOL he was so suprised to see his room and really liked it! I think he liked it even more that he didn't have to deal with the million screws HAHA but I think this might backfire now that he knows I can do these things : ) Take a look!!!

I have also been very busy making signs for my girls kinder carnival!!! All the moms are so nice and we are having a great time planning it.
and because tonights dinner was yummy, a fajita casserole

I love the toy organizer! You did such a great job! I have to say that I really like the shade of blue in his room too. Very nice. You have me wanting to make an IKEA trip too.

Nicely done. We are involved in a constant battle with organizing toys--which is weird since their fav things to play with are usually something silly like a rock or stick or whatever.
ReplyDeleteOfficer Hottie has always said that he thinks Ikea must have some sort of reality show in Sweden - that there are hidden cameras in the screws or something and everyone back in Sweden watches and laughs as we all struggle to put everything together!

Jillian thanks you, nice to know someone can identify with my busy life. I must say your girls are pretty cute too! Ikea does have an online site but if your like me youlike to touch kick and put the furniture thru the kid test lol i do have that nasty comment and i decided NOT to make a blog about it, I mean if they are that pathetic to leave it anonymous then they aren't worth it. PLUS I don't care if they like it or not its my life and I will do what I want, HELLO you don't have to read my blog hahaha
Those Ikea instructions can be a bit confusing! I got my kids the toy bins almost just like that except they do a stair step kind of thing. We all love them! I also put them together myself and I think even the kids were proud of me! That chair is super cute... now I want one!
